EMOTION IN MOTION: TRANSFORMING TRAUMA THROUGH THE BODY ~ Saturday, April 24th ~ 12:30-3:30pm ~ $125/person There is a world beyond talk therapy for trauma and mental health treatment. Emotion in Motion provides a comprehensive introduction to mind/body health and yoga for trauma. The material from this workshop is useful and applicable for social workers, mental health counselors, psychotherapists, yoga teachers, yoga therapists, body workers, nurses, physical therapists and other medical and mental health professionals. The workshop is also open to people who have an interest in yoga, mind/body healing and understanding the interplay between the body and mind. We will focus on learning about trauma and healing approaches and apply the information in an experiential form through the practice of yoga. Trauma Therapist Teresa Bennett-Pasquale, LCSW and Yoga Teachers Geri Topfer, E-RYT and Penni Feiner, E-RYT will present a comprehensive workshop on trauma and the body, trauma and yoga and mind/body healing. Ask about student discounts. Continuing credits may be available for some professions.
